After reviewing the list of participants for the Innovation Summit, I believe I might be the only one from an elementary school. It will be interesting to see what I can bring to the discussion table. I may have been the only classroom teacher that applied, but it still makes me wonder about the possible gap between research and the classroom? This is one of the reasons I am pursuing my Ed.D. in Educational Technology.
Tickets have been booked for the travel to D.C. I will be staying at the Melrose Hotel of Washington D.C. at 2430 Pennsylvania Ave. I will have 8 minutes to present what Galileo is doing in our elementary engineering and then there is time for questions and answers. Looking forward to sharing and learning!
Received notification that I have been invited to attend the Radical Innovation Summit in Washington D.C. this June. I am so excited to go and collaborate with educators about STEM and what I am doing in the classroom. http://education.illinois.edu/ci/radicalinnovation
